Malaki workin hard!

 Malaki is a hard working boy.  He loves to use tools and help dad work on the car or build the chicken coop or garden....  He is always working hard.

 I thought I would throw in these pictures of Malaki climbing the fence.

Backyard Camping

Malaki had the fun idea of going camping.  It had been really warm out this March.  So, Dad took Lydia and Malaki into the back yard and we had a fire, cooked dinner and enjoyed the VW Bus Kombi that Nicole had bought.  It was fun!

 This is the inside of the bus.  I love it!  I am so excited to take it camping for real.

American Fork Canyon

I love mountain flying.  These pictures are of the back side of Timpanogas.  We flew from Heber up into the mountains and out American Fork Canyon.   I wish all of the flight lessons I give could be this beautiful.  

 My student, Chris Brown, is working on his CFI.  Part of the course is to do a cross country flight.  Because this will be the last cross country of his training, he decided to make it a really neat one.  We flew from Salt Lake City to Page, Arizona.  We took the route that took us over the San Rafeal Swell, Capitol Reef National Park, Escalante National Monument, Glen Canyon, Lake Powell, and Navajo mountain.  It was specatular scenery.  Half way through the flight, my camera stopped working!  After I reset it, it started working again, but I missed pictures from the escalante area and Capitol Reef.

Malaki Singing to Lydia

About 6 months or so ago, somehow or another, Malaki and I got on this kick of singing the hymn "Carry On" Malaki loves the song so much.  It is so fun to walk down the street with him on my shoulders sing at the top of his lungs, "And we hear the desert singing, carry on, carry on, carry on!"  It is so fun!

I was cooking in the kitchen and had Lydia in her bouncer.  Malaki decided to go and talk with Lydia.  He does all the time, and I have to be careful that he is not to rough with her, as he often is.  This time however he started singing "Carry On" to her!  I hurried and grabbed my phone to video tape it.  I caught the end of him singing to her and I also was lucky to catch Lydia's big grin and little giggle as well.
